Complete beginner looking to buy my first dancing pole — any advice?

Hey everyone! I've recently gotten interested in pole fitness and I'm looking to buy my first pole for home use. I'm 23F, 5'6" and around 145 lbs if that helps with any recommendations.

I've been doing some research and came across a few options online but I honestly have no idea what to look for as a beginner. One site I found was BuyRailings which sells permanent stationary poles has anyone used them or have any thoughts?

A few things I'm wondering:

- Is a permanent/stationary pole better than a freestanding one for a beginner?

- Does the material (brass vs stainless steel) actually make a difference for grip?

- Any brands or sites you'd recommend checking out?

- Anything you wish you knew before buying your first pole?
