HomeKit integration for Orion: control thermal relief & temperature from a physical button

Hi all,

We are loving our Orion. It's getting hard to remember the sleep issues I had previously.

The goal of this little toolkit was simple: get the Orion into Apple HomeKit (via Hubitat) so my wife can control hot flash relief and temperature from a physical button on the nightstand, no fishing for a phone at 3am. That one feature turned into something more broadly useful, so I'm sharing it here.

The button is an Onvis HS2, single press steps the setpoint, center fires hot flash for 20 mins, long press disables it.

The result in HomeKit: a normal temperature ring per zone. Heat vs Cool doesn't matter, both just turn the zone on and drive it to the target you set, so the dial works the same either way. Current temp up top, drag to set.

Credit where it's due: this builds directly on u/xur17's Home Assistant integration for Orion Sleep was the inspipration. I cross-checked against their work, and the non-linear temperature scale (the −10…+10 "level" → °C mapping) comes straight from their const.py.

Thanks to u/OrionJonathan and the Orion team for being supportive of this kind of community tinkering.

In the repo:

- Postman collection: the full auth flow plus the device/zone/thermal-relief endpoints, for testing the API directly. (REST only, no websocket)

- Hubitat driver: per-zone power, thermal relief (activate/cancel), live temperature, and per-zone temperature control using the app's −10…+10 "level" scale.
