noises

yall what does it means if I started hearing noises at like 3/4 am the other day and it was like loud tapping/ footsteps noises and then my brother came into my room crying because he said his ears were hurting ? Is it a coincidence or does it have a reason I don’t wanna seem paranoid. Plus I’ve never experienced nothing paranormal my parents have tho.
