**Vet info:** Went to vet today but won't be able to talk with him until tomorrow.

**Main Issue:** We care for a feral colony. One of the cats has been aggressive lately towards the other cats - he's always been a bit territorial, but it's been particularly bad lately.  He'll come and stand outside our apartment door and cry to be let in for hours.  We have cats that live inside, and he would terrorize them if we let him in.  

We were able to trap him and another person who helps out took him to the vet today.  She'll go back tomorrow to get more info from the vet - it's a nonprofit vet clinic and they were swamped, so she couldn't talk to the vet today.  

Can anyone tell us how bad this hip dysplasia is?  Looking at it from a novice's viewpoint and comparing it to images online, it looks terrible to me.  But I don't really know what I'm looking at.  

He's currently recovering in our bathroom.  I'm really heartbroken thinking he may have been in a lot of pain for a long time, all those nights he was crying outside our door...

**Cat Age:**  Unknown, and the vet did not put an estimate on the paperwork.  I'd say 4 at least.

**Cat Sex + neuter info:** what gender is your cat and are they spayed or neutered?  Male, neutered.

**Financial situation:** can you afford vet care? We've agreed to cover $500 of the cost, which isn't money we exactly have but we'll put it on credit.  I mention this because we do need to be aware of cost. We don't know the total bill for today yet, let alone for treatment long term. 

Hip dysplasia - any thoughts on severity?
