Disappointment at the unfolding of many storylines

Probably Bullshit

This post is going to be downvoted to hell. I don't care. I first got into the Gundam franchise through my first entry, Gundam seed in 2020. What brought me to Gundam seed was my decade long obsession with the God Eater franchise as someone in the youtube comments of a video on God Eater 2's commentary compared the storyline to Gundam Seed. God Eater is also owned by Bandai Namco. I watched Gundam seed and was hooked from there, a mecha sci-fi anime with complex characters that all get a chance to shine, romance, gritty moments and war. I have since watched more Gundam entries and well... I have been left disappointed at how the plots have unfolded.

Gundam Seed Destiny: I started this one because I found the new normal human protagonist Shin refreshing since I kind of had enough of Kira Yamato since he's like Jesus or something but dropped the show when they not only brought back Kira, but Kira fucking killed Stella and went unpunished! Then I got spoiled to how the rest of the plot panned out. Disgusting! Next!!!!

Gundam Witch From Mercury: This is the worst one! I was obsessed and caught in a chokehold after the prologue promised me a real good show with worldbuilding on Mercury, a scary and sexy villain in Delling and something dark with all the bloodshed at the beginning with a FEMALE protagonist to BOOT...... then that poorly written contrived mess called the anime happened!... The prologue promised something else and the anime felt disjointed and seperate. It made sense when I learn't the anime was rapidly rewritten and the original script was scrapped since a teenager apparently told the staff working on witch from mercury that the show didn't appeal to teen girls.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Gundam/comments/xymj06/apparently_gwitch_went_through_some_serious/ Maybe gundam is hard to get into but still, fuck whoever that person was because the original script sounds sooooo much better then what we got. I dropped it after 12 episodes and I still feel like I wasted my time. Plot was absolutely shit!

Gundam Thunderbolt: This was my favourite entry before the south seas alliance was introduced. I could see it clearly, I deep fierce rivalry between Daryl and Io who I liked better as a sociopathic battle junkie on Jazz shrooms. I liked Io as an inverse of a hero and sort of an antagonist and even though Daryl was on the wrong side of the war, I saw him becoming the hero instead. I followed the manga and after Daryl kissed Claudio, Io's girl, Io kidnaps Karla and makes a daring trade with Daryl and then a battle ensures and Daryl wins but then he defects from his side or something since we all know Zeon are the big bad wolves. Instead, Phychic new type monk crap was introduced. I didn't like it. It could of just stayed a dark gritty war show with the Sasuke, Naruto rivalry and I would have been happy.

Gundam G in reconguista: I started this one but then dropped it. The world building is great but the characters feel hollow and silly and the plot felt immature. I also didn't like that cannibalism backdrop that was introduced then skimmed over. It felt cheap and was partly what put me off the show.

Turn A gundam: I'm still currently watching this one. This entry is partially what God Eater is based off of. Soma's design is based on Loran and the stuff with the moon in his story. So far, I am enjoying it but I have realised that, I need to stop expecting gundam to be something it's not. I keep expecting it to be like Macross since I'm still enamored with Gundam Seed and the idol stuff but it is not Macross, it is Gundam.
