Is it worth reading The Count of Monte Cristo after reading the intro and having it spoiled.

This is the first piece of classic literature I’m reading and went into completely blind. I read the introduction and feel sick to my stomach as I feel I just spoiled the whole plot. I even read online the importance of AVOIDING SPOILERS and the very first thing in the book is nothing but spoilers.

It’s only broad strokes of the plot that are spoiled but still I feel I’ve lost a lot of interest in reading it now… why. Just why…
