My character is a young (mid-20's) professional consultant - young, but reasonably comfortable (as he's extremely good at what he does). He normally travels around, but recently he's been working from his apartment. He's hired a housekeeper: an older woman (possible options include her being Muslim, Russian, Jewish, Asian, or Indian - but not necessarily). He pays her a reasonable rate and she's competent so he's happy. He finds her a little attractive, but keeps it to himself. They're friendly and polite in their interactions, but they keep it from sliding beyond a "professional relationship".

One day, he overhears a phone call of her's: she's clearly stressed about the costs of her young son's education, not knowing where she's going to get the money. At the end of her day, he call her to his study. He generously gives her a one-off bonus - to help toward the costs, and also because she's been doing a good job so far. She goes home to think about it.
