I want more attention for him but I can't tell him
I met someone I liked, we had a good date, we planned to meet again... The part I'm struggling with is the communication between dates.
He usually replies about once a day, sometimes after 12–48 hours. We exchange maybe one message each a day, and that's it. He hasn't suggested calling me once this week, and the conversations feel a bit flat. I know we met on a dating app, so I'm assuming he's probably talking to other women too, which I understand at this stage, but I can't help feeling like I'm getting very little attention or our text messages convos are so boring.
I'm trying to work out whether this is just a normal pace for early dating or whether it's a sign that he's only mildly interested. I don't expect constant texting, but I also don't want to feel like an afterthought. I don't want to be the second option or fifth option.
Would you bring this up, or would you just see how the second date goes? Has anyone dated someone who was a slow texter but much more engaged in person? I don't want to tell him and seem like I'm asking for reassurance or complaining. I just don't feel like I'm getting enough communication or am I asking for too much?
