PLEASE HELP POSSIBLE HIP DISLOCATION

My cat was laying on the top of his 4ft tall cat tower and got scared and jumped off. All of my other cats got scared too and all sprinted to another room so I didn’t notice anything at first. A few minutes later I noticed him limping and not using his back right leg.

He’s was very sensitive to my touch at his hip but jumped onto my bed without me seeing and the couch. I assume he did it with one leg but not sure. He also is tapping his leg when walking to try to use it but not putting wait on it.

He is currently laying next to me on that hip and doesn’t seem to be in constant pain but adjusting every once in a while.

He also is meowing everytime he adjusts himself but not significantly and he is also a very vocal cat so not sure if he’s just begging for pets.

If anyone has experienced a dislocation or a sprain and could help me identify the seriousness here that would be very helpful.

I plan to take him to the vet either way but would like to know what I am in for because 1500$ on a dislocation would really put me in a bad place financially.
