My Xfinity experience so far

New Post - Tech Support

I had my fiber internet installed on June 8th in a new construction neighborhood. It was great until they came and buried the line. I went into work early Saturday morning and my wife called me at 8:45 saying the Internet turned off around 8:30 am. When I got home from work, I called comcast and was connected with a rep that said they won't be able to send a tech out until Tuesday the 16th 5-7pm. Tuesday comes around at 5:39 pm I missed a call from Comcast stating there was no tech in the area so they rescheduled to the following day, again 5-7 pm. The tech shows up on Wednesday takes about an hour to fix it, apologies for the inconvenience, apparently the person that buried the fiber line damaged it. Everything is working again. Now June 26th, it's 4 pm and I'm working from home. The Internet goes out. I stand up and look out the window, and there are two men in a white truck with a trailer hauling a ditch witch and some spools of cable, messing with the fiber line running up the telephone pole. I went out to ask them what was going on, but by this time the fiber line had been severed at the connection to my house and at the telephone pole .The guy was taking the excess fiber line at the pole where mine is connected. I asked them what the deal is, and they don't speak English. The lead of the two man team seemed to be on the phone with his boss and I asked how long in Spanish, and he showed me his translator app that says, a tech is scheduled to come out in a few minutes to fix it. 2 hours go by and nothing. I call comcast, finally get someone human on the phone, a very nice lady. I explained the situation to her and she did her best to rectify the situation but could only get me an appointment on Tuesday. She even mentioned that there were no service calls to our address and that she didn't know who those guys were. Another weekend without Internet. Stellar first month so far.
