Refractive error, suggestions needed for other eye

My first right eye surgery resulted in a .5 refractive miss. I understand that this is in the acceptable range but I'm not sure what to do with the left eye now. I have an Eyehance base lens for distance and a dual lens of +2.0 on top of that. I can't have the base lens replaced because I have Fuchs dystrophy.

Currently ny midrange in the right eye is good (TV distance), poor at distance (can't read street signs) and reading my phone or a book is blurry. My surgeon is asking me to choose between near or distance for the left eye and I'm very concerned that I won't be able to read at all if I have another miss. All suggestions from this very helpful group are welcome
