Cat yowling

Behavioral Issue

Not looking for complete medical advice just looking for an idea of how to help her til I can get her to a vet next Thursday. -this is more ranting and if someone has some idea if this is urgent to let me know or if this is just an attention thing-

We also have a house filled with cat toys and cat towers we also give an a free range of dry food and wet food in am and night-

I need help with my female two year old cat. I got her a two years ago and we had a room mate with kids at the time. Then I moved into my own apartment and she got spayed at a year old in Feb 2025. Then I met my husband in August in a different town my cat and I moved to a different town. I got married by December. My husband is in the coast guard and my cat has never had an issue. I also worked basically 6-6. Then in March I got another cat a boy. At the end of April I started to notice my female cat started to act like she was in heat. When my husband came home a day later my cat started howling. Rubbing in face on me and acting like she was in heat. Then I quit my job and recently started to be gone a night once a week or be home all week especially when my husband is gone.
She doesn’t look upset she is definitely more affectionate but the yowling has started at night and throughout the day. I have given her calming bites but she is still acting like she is in heat. Back up in the air, the meows of a heat cat, my younger male cat who is neutered getting on her back or then wrestling. And she hates it. It’s probably that week the most he tries but it’s when she will not shut up. I play with her at night but I don’t know how to help her. She also is eating and drinking water and using the litter box (sometimes outside the litter when trying to kick it) but the only weird thing is she acting in heat when my husband gets home. She doesn’t hiss at us or act violent. These episodes usually last a week.
