Account randomly deactivated 1 month after signing up for the $50 a month promotion. Now agents said I need to pay $80 a month to reactivate.

Switched to Xfinity last month when there was the $50 promotion for the 1 Gig plan (guaranteed for 5 years). Woke up yesterday with no Internet. Spent an hour on the phone with two agents, both told me I could reactivate my account for $80 a month instead. None of them can tell my why the account was deactivated in the first place. Thought the original promotion was too good to be true. It was indeed.
