Is a 1/4 hp chiller too big for a 50 gallon?

There is a used JBJ 1/4 chiller I’m very interested in but my tank is only 50 gallons. I have a Fluval 307 I’d connect it to.

I don’t know anything about chillers and this would be my first one. I’m pretty sure I would also need to buy new tubing for it. Room temp is normally high 70s to 80 Fahrenheit during the summer.

I’m worried about the flow rate being too strong, the chiller turning on and off too much, and lowering the water temp too quickly.
