His balls are speaking to him like the green goblin, losing his privileges in two days

reddit.comThere is a used JBJ 1/4 chiller I’m very interested in but my tank is only 50 gallons. I have a Fluval 307 I’d connect it to.
I don’t know anything about chillers and this would be my first one. I’m pretty sure I would also need to buy new tubing for it. Room temp is normally high 70s to 80 Fahrenheit during the summer.
I’m worried about the flow rate being too strong, the chiller turning on and off too much, and lowering the water temp too quickly.
I need a chiller and found a used 1/4 Arctica chiller for cheap. I asked how long he’s had it and if it would need any repairs, the seller said he’s probably had it for 15 years but it “only got used for a few summers” and works like it should.
Has anyone ever had one of these for this long or are they known to last like this?
I’ve worked here for almost 4 weeks now and they scheduled me to open by myself today. I have not been taught how to make espresso or hot or cold drinks or how to brew coffee. I texted my manager but of course she’s asleep. We’re a few minutes past open and I’m at a loss and would just like to leave.
Has anyone had this happen or does anyone have advice? This feels ridiculous
I just started this week, but it’s been awhile since I’ve worked food service and never anything so corporate.
I’m struggling with the upselling. I’m fine offering extra shots in their drinks or whatever but greeting people through the speaker by immediately pushing food products feels so forced. Does this actually help them sell more food?
I am also having a hard time with the forced conversation at the window when waiting for drinks. I like to tell people it’ll just be a minute wait and if they want to chat with me that’s fine, but I’m being pressed to keep the conversation going, ask how their day is and it just feels so awkward. I am bad at small talk and it feels like such a redundant
