Is it ever helpful to have two Bachelors degrees?
I just graduated with my BScH in Environmental Science (Minor in Classics), and am at a bit of an impass of what to do next. I am interested in academia and professorship, but my issue is I'm interested in 3 different areas! Environmental science, Classics & Archaeology, and Philosophy. Env Sci is probably the most likely to lead to a job outside academia, but I think I am slightly more passionate about the other two-- or at least find them more engaging/interesting. I don't want to commit to a Masters right away, because I'm unsure which area I want to go into, so I am toying with the idea of doing another Bachelors, this time in philosophy (BAH). My school will allow me to do this in two years, so half the tuition (which is very reasonable, so I'm not concerned about the cost).
My question is: is it dumb to pursue another undergrad? A waste of time/energy? How would it be looked at on a resume, or on a grad school application? Would it be helpful, beyond just kicking the can down the road and taking some interesting courses?
Any honest advice would be appreciated!
