They don't know what it's like

Hi, I'm a mom to a suspected ADHD boy who's also a sensory seeker. I myself suffer from crippling executive dysfunction due to depression. My son is in OT + speech therapy and I'm seeing a psychiatrist.

Today was an exceptionally difficult day for my son. My husband and I tried everything to keep things in order but my son was impossible to manage.

We've seen so many improvements in the last 6 months but at the same time the intensity of his actions have increased. When I bring this up with his therapist I can actually tell that she doesn't understand what's like to live with a 2.5 yo who requires that much hands on supervision while having to keep the house running and take care of your own needs too.
