Here is the first chapter of the first book of my fantasy trilogy, of which the first book is complete and (hopefully) sufficiently edited. This chapter introduces our villain. I've tagged the post as NSFW as there is nudity (though only brief) and what I'll describe as significant domestic violence. Read cautiously, and I hope you enjoy it.
