Abandoned cats with conjunctivitis.

Eye Issues

A few months ago, some cats were abandoned at my house.

I've given them food and water, but nothing more than that, because even though I'm fond of them, I know I don't have enough money to care for cats.

There were four female cats who grew up and got pregnant. They gave birth, and I left them in my yard (I'm not from the United States, so it's common for them to be outside, since I don't live in a city).

I didn't check on them for a few days because I was busy with something important (I wasn't home). I came back yesterday or the day before, and unfortunately, all the kittens have conjunctivitis.

Not the adult ones, just the newborns.

I don't have the money to take them to the vet. I'm a student, and my father is very narrow-minded about money.

I don't have any financial support network, and frankly, I don't have a penny to my name.

What can I do? I tried cleaning them with chamomile tea and gauze because that's what my mom used to do when I lived with her, but since they don't live with humans, they won't let me touch them and they hide.

One of them is in very serious condition. His eye is completely closed with something I can't check because he won't let me touch it.

I've tried waiting for them to come out without fear and then catching them, but that doesn't work either. I've been with their mothers and they won't even come near me.

Besides, after trying and treating some of them for a few days, it seems I've caught it too. 🧍
