Good litter to use??

I currently use pretty litter. It says two month supply on the litter, but I get a horrible ammonia smell if I try to wait even a month before fully changing it out. I tried getting arm and hammer but it clumps in enormous chunks to the point where it’s taking out almost all the litter, making me waste so much of it, and having to buy litter often which gets really expensive. What is my other alternatives so im not breaking the bank or getting a horrible smell in my place?

My cat is a 1 y/o female spayed, and doesn’t have any current health problems.
