France visa for 12-week medical observership as a qualified doctor. Which visa category?

I’m an Indian postgraduate Orthopaedic Surgeon (MS Orthopaedics) and have been accepted for a 12-week unpaid medical observership at Lyon Croix-Rousse University Hospital, France, from 1 Feb to 30 Apr 2027.

The hospital describes me as a Short-term Visiting Fellow. I will only observe consultations, surgeries and academic activities. No clinical work or remuneration.

The issue is that I’m already a postgraduate-qualified doctor, not a student, and my programme is an observership rather than a student internship, sponsored by me.
