Modem blinking green after “work” was done in the area

I woke up to my internet not working after they did work and completed it in my area. I have restarted it, checked all connections, checked for outages and done everything I can think of. My only option is to schedule an appointment a week from now and possibly pay for a tech to come here. Is there anything else I can do?
