Pre-wash with liquid detergent in a front loader - doable?
So I just got a jug of persil liquid to get max surfactant power as per advice here after my last thread.
I almost always do a pre-wash cycle for my laundry, and with powder detergent that's never been a problem. However, with liquid it seems like the detergent in both compartments goes into the drum the second I pour it. I even confirmed this by taking out the detergent drawer and seeing where the green liquid goes, it combines into one compartment underneath. This means that selecting a pre-wash cycle leaves my laundry without detergent for the main wash.
I'm wondering how everyone else is doing it - do I just wash the clothes twice without a spin the first time? Seems kinda inconvenient. A second solution might be to do a liquid in the pre-wash and powder in the main but that's only less than half the benefit. My washer is LG WFV1214WHT1. Would appreciate any insight.
