Pixel Watch 5 Connectors changed?

Got my pre-ordered PW5 only yesterday thanks to DHL...

First thing I noticed while trying out all the bands from my collection is that the connector mechanism feels a bit loose on this model in comparison to prior versions.

I'm exclusively using Google's original bands and connectors. The silicon sports band that came with the watch sits snug. But all the others have different kinds of play. Vertical, horizontal, sometimes both. It's not terrible but more noticable than all my Pixel Watches before. You can even tell when you look at the official videos and photos that were taken at Google's event that there seems to be more space!? Same for YouTube videos of reviewers.

Worst one for me is the Gradient Stretch band where the connectors are fully made out of plastic. This one sits decent but always makes clicking noises when I move it slightly especially in the vertical direction. This is annoying.

In addition my favorite Active Band forms a slight gap when wearing around my wrist.

What are the experiences of people with the PW5 and other Google bands that are not the included Sports Band?
