UCSB Courses Search App

Academic Life

You may be aware that if you are looking for information on UCSB course offerings, there are a variety of resources available, including:

Each of these has different features. I'd like to introduce you to another app that has been maintained by the students in my course CMPSC 156 for the past several years:

https://courses.dokku-00.cs.ucsb.edu/

This app has many features that you'll find in the other three, but a few features that we think are unique to this app:

  • course history going all the way back to Fall 2013
  • search when a course was offered over multiple quarters
  • search all the courses taught by a particular instructor
  • search all the courses taught in a particular building or room.
  • download information about courses as a CSV file
  • and more...

I hope you try it out! I'm very interested to learn whether there are:

  • particular features of the app that are useful to people
  • missing things that we could add
  • bugs or annoyances that we can fix

There is a Feedback button at the bottom of each page where, if you have a UCSB google account, you can leave feedback and suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
Phill Conrad, Teaching Professor, UCSB Computer Science.
