If you want to know what's being served in the dining halls, the official web page is here:

But the students in CMPSC 156 have been building another version that allows you to leave reviews. I think it's finally ready to try out.

There's a feedback button at the bottom. If you run into bugs, or there are features you'd like to see added, please use that button to let us know!

(I've tagged this with "housing" since it applies mainly to students living on campus)

You may be aware that if you are looking for information on UCSB course offerings, there are a variety of resources available, including:

Each of these has different features. I'd like to introduce you to another app that has been maintained by the students in my course CMPSC 156 for the past several years:

I love the Amarelli Licorice flavor.

But the "Ginger Mint" doesn't taste like ginger to me at all; it's just... Mint.

Is it just me? Did I get a bad tube?

I was just thinking of the song Free Falling by Tom Petty.

The entire song is built around a two bar riff. Basically, that two bar riff is the entire song.

The variety that every song needs to be interesting comes entirely from varying the texture, singing the verses and chorus in a different register and adding/subtracting layers of backup vocals.

A few other examples I can think of off the top of my head:

* Shout (Isley Brothers and many covers)

* Low Rider (War)

You might think Mony Mony, but it actually doesn't fit. There are shifts in the chords that make it not a "single riff song"

What other popular songs are like this?

Visiting Florence 19 July to 26 July.

Was hoping to attend a classical music performance of one kind or another.

But all the major venues seem to be dark; all I've found are small recitals of Opera arias that seem to be mainly aimed at tourists.

The only exception I found was a concert by the [Orchestra della Toscana directed by Benjamin Voce](https://www.orchestradellatoscana.it/en/eventi/voce-badia-25luglio2026-eng/) performing CPE Bach, Boccherini and Haydn. I bought tickets for that.

Two questions:

* Anything else you can recommend?

* Are the opera aria concerts worthwhile? I mean no disrespect to the artists that perform in th

I'm installing a flush mount backup camera in my 2001 TJ Wrangler.

I've been watching videos (for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdL3aKfhqqQ ) and I think I have all of the steps down save one: routing the cable from the bumper to inside the front dash. This is the part they never quite seem to show. It's sort of "magic".

And that's the ONLY part I'm unclear on.

Can anyone suggest: where is the gasket or portal that allows me to get from the rear bumper to "inside" the vehicle?

I've been doing a makeover on my 2001 TJ:

  • New soft top
  • Detailed clean of interior
  • Removed rust spots and repainted
  • New carpet (with insulation for sound/heat)
  • New tires
  • New stereo with Android Auto / Apple Carplay

It's looking great! Just one remaining frustration: everything looks and feels brand new except the passenger side airbag cover. It has a sticky film on it that's gross and ugly.

Many other surfaces had the same 25 years of built up grunge, but they came clean with patience, Armorall Cleaning Wipes, and elbow grease.

But this passenger side airbag cover (panel just above glove compartment) just gets worse with additional attempts to clean it. It seems to be a
