Why the Alice love?
I've been reading the sub since the new season started, and so many people seem to love Alice. Now look, maybe the last episode changed that for some people, which would be fair.
But I felt like I was in the extreme minority in the sense that I couldn't stand her. To be clear, this isn't about the actress, who I think is doing a good job, but the CHARACTER of Alice. Back in episode 2 when she was introduced, she basically said she didn't care about the players as people. She clearly did something to Gemma to make her quit. She is far from pleasant with anyone. She never hid the fact that she doesn't respect Ted, even though he is FAR more accomplished of a manager than she is. Even when they tried to get everyone to do trivia, she clearly didn't want to be there, just like the players. Yet people seemed to really like her.
So in terms of being curious, I'd really love to know what it is people liked so much. Because to me, she just seemed like people I've worked with. Very capable at their job, who I hated working with because of their personality. And those people have often been the ones who are like "I just want to do my job and go home", want to make no conversation with people, but then feel excluded when everyone else is like doing lunches or happy hours together and they aren't invited.
