I'm a fan of Dee and Devens, but I understand other people aren't, and that is fine. It would be boring if everyone is rooting for the same people.

But people are BIG MAD that they survived the double, and they are just getting out of hand with the bad shit they are saying about Drew to justify it.

The fact is you may not like him, but Drew isn't stupid. He knows he probably isn't winning this game, and likely the only slim chances he does have are against Melody and/or Taylor. Yash has been openly against him for a while. Aside from the fact that many viewers don't want a Survivor player to win, what sense would it make to keep Yash?

People keep saying he can't beat the icons,

Melody hasn't played the game at all this season. She has basically led Drew on all season.

She has said some of the nastiest shit about people, especially the icons, out of any of the shit talking that has happened. And no one has really DONE anything to her. The game is being played around her. But she is so mean spirited.

Yet she is getting so much less hate than those other 2 because people didn't dig up questionable social media posts.

At least be consistent for when you have a problem with super nasty behavior.

I'd argue, gamewise, Kamu was playing well, pretty respectful, and handled adversity gracefully. Haley was playing the game well, even if you didn't like it.

I'm in an advanced round of a hiring process with a company. The role is a bit below what I think I'm qualified for, but I'd take it since I've been out of work a while. I actually really like the hiring manager as well, and I feel like we hit it off. I recently saw a posting for a similar but more senior role that I think, based on my experience, I'd be a great fit for. Is there a tactful way to ask to be considered for that one while I'm in the interview process for a different one that won't possibly remove me from contention from the one i'm already interviewing for? Or would it look bad to ask and I should assume if they wanted to consider me for the more senior role, they would?

Why the Alice love?

SpoilerSeason 4 Discussion

I've been reading the sub since the new season started, and so many people seem to love Alice. Now look, maybe the last episode changed that for some people, which would be fair.

But I felt like I was in the extreme minority in the sense that I couldn't stand her. To be clear, this isn't about the actress, who I think is doing a good job, but the CHARACTER of Alice. Back in episode 2 when she was introduced, she basically said she didn't care about the players as people. She clearly did something to Gemma to make her quit. She is far from pleasant with anyone. She never hid the fact that she doesn't respect Ted, even though he is FAR more accomplished of a manager than she is. Even

I've seen plenty of things over time where women are screening out things that they believe would make a guy a shitty husband/father.

I've seen plenty of women say things like if a man is pro-life then he isn't someone they want to be with.

But when men are like "If you are supporting and defending Lindsay Clancy, I'm breaking up because of it", all of a sudden its so bad. Like, yeah, they don't want to date and have a long term relationship with someone who is defending a child murderer. Seems fair to me.

Can someone give me some logic to this double standard?

More and more I've been seeing these types of comments online. Where a woman says or does something so egregious, that people are like "I hate to defend a man, but you are being ridiculous" or some version of that.

My issue is that women saying this apparently think women are so infallible, that they have to do or say something absolutely terrible to make someone be willing to admit that men can be right sometimes.

It's such an absurd concept to me. Like is it that hard to be open minded about a situation and not have your mind made up simply by the sex of the people?

So this has recently come up, and I'm looking for outside opinions on if I'm being weird.

Months ago, a friend of mine bought tickets for a sporting event. He was able to get pre-sale tickets, so he just bought 4. 2 were for him and his wife, then he had 2 others he would figure out later.

Not long after he bought them, he asked if I wanted one. We didn't discuss price at that point, but knowing him, I figured he wouldn't have gotten anything too crazy.

As the event got closer, he realized he was having a harder time finding someone else who wanted to go. He ended up sending a group message to a bunch of our friends offering it up.

One guy who ended up taking it. I found out t

I'm thinking of the Time Capsule. Let's say for fun that Drew is voted into the time capsule next week. And Drew also wins HOH.

If he were to get a punishment, would he have to do it during his HOH week?

Has this happened before?

So, this has happened on Survivor too, but tonights episode, Melody said it when Rick put her up like going after women was somehow not a good move. (whether I think SHE was a good move is not the point)

How do these people think they should be taken seriously as players, when they act like any man who targets or puts up a woman is someone "weak" or making a bad move.

Even Haley did a version of that where she started talking shit, then when Rome said something back she is like "why are you so mad that a girl is smack talking"

Like, do you want to be an equal player, or do you think you are inferior to all the guys. Because when you say stuff like this, you can't have both.

Yep, this is my boomer take today. But there are some young actors I just don't see why they are famous.

Some, like Sydney Sweeney, I don't think are all that talented, but I understand why she is popular. 2 specific reasons.

But for me, its Jenna Ortega. She seems to be in so much stuff, and I've never found her interesting in the least.
