Need Help with a Speeding Ticket - Deer Lodge/Powell County

Last week, my partner and I were traveling from Washington State to Yellowstone, and my partner was driving the car when they received a speeding ticket in Deer Lodge, Powell County. The sheriff issued the citation and instructed us to pay the fine using citepayusa.com. However, it has been over a week, and we still cannot find the citation online to make the payment. Is it normal for it to take this long for the citation to become visible online?

Since this is my partner's first ticket, we are wondering if there are any options available to avoid having it on their record, such as taking a defensive driving course or something similar. Also, do we need to talk to an attorney? There is no appearance/pay-by date on the citation.
