I was going to move to Memphis, but I changed my mind. Here's why.

Housing

I was mainly going to move there for three reasons. The cheap cost of living, the Tom T. Hall song, and the Memphis Chess Club. Mostly the last two, as well as the sound of the city when you speak it. Memphis. Memmmmfis. It's satisfying to me for some reason. Anyway, after inquiring on here for a while, I've learned that perhaps there isn't really a long term future there for me considering my interests. I've lived for 4 years in the hills of east Tennessee, and as depressing as the people were there, at least I could hike to my heart's content. There really isn't an equivalent to that in Memphis. I also enjoy walking around at night, but I wouldn't really be able to do that there either. I'm a curious person, and I am too trusting and would probably wander into a bad area and come across someone having a bad day. I don't have enough of a backbone so I'd probably be robbed a lot.

I've decided to move to Florida instead. If you love somebody enough, you'll follow whenever they go. And I'm going to follow my heart there.
