Stop showing me things on your phone!

I hate it when people are like "Oh, I haven't showed you my cat before have I?" and then they scroll through their camera roll for like 3 minutes while I have to wait there in awkward silence and prepare to put on this performance over how cute their cat is. I could not care less about what your cat looks like. I like your cat even less now that this interaction has happened.

Same thing with videos, memes, literally anything. Like please just describe it to me. Describe your cat. Describe the video. Describe what you read in your own words. I don't see why you have to pause our whole interaction to look something unimportant up and make me squint at your phone screen for it.

I am a flip phone user, but I don't think I'm biased over this! Stay in reality.
