Hello. I'd love some advice if anyone can just be my dad for a second. I've never talked to another adult about my finances and I need help getting started. I'm 22F and live with my 23M fiance. We're getting married next year and our finances are already pretty intertwined, so whatever's mine is his and whatever's his is mine. Here it all is:

My personal debt:

  • $6,319 overdue tuition to university. My parents saved up to pay for my college, but then I earned a full-tuition scholarship so they didn't have to. But right before my senior year, I lost the scholarship due to low academic performance. My parents refused to pay for the remainder of my college because of my mistake. I didn't qual

I hate it when people are like "Oh, I haven't showed you my cat before have I?" and then they scroll through their camera roll for like 3 minutes while I have to wait there in awkward silence and prepare to put on this performance over how cute their cat is. I could not care less about what your cat looks like. I like your cat even less now that this interaction has happened.

Same thing with videos, memes, literally anything. Like please just describe it to me. Describe your cat. Describe the video. Describe what you read in your own words. I don't see why you have to pause our whole interaction to look something unimportant up and make me squint at your phone screen for it.

I’m wondering if this is a bad idea.

I’ve been craving lettuce like crazy. I want it so bad all the time. I’ve seen people grow massive amounts for themselves in indoor hydroponic gardens. I’ve got a lot of unused real estate for aquaponics over my fish tanks. I’ve figured out I can make super cheap polycarbonate lids with holes for plant nets. The lettuce can feed off of the nutrients of all my fish and their lights. This would be great for the fish, but I’m concerned about the bacteria on our side. Fish water WILL inevitably splash onto the lettuce here and there.

Has anyone done something like this before? Would fish lettuce make me sick?

Hello. I adopted a small chihuahua mix thing like a week ago. I know teeth are going to be an issue for him in his older age with the size and shape of his mouth.

I got him Lemonade pet insurance with the preventative care add-on thinking it would cover routine dental cleanings, but that was before I realized 1) it only covers up to $150 and 2) dental cleanings are up to 1k because of anesthesia. I’m not too disappointed because I’ve already put the add-on to good use covering his annual wellness exam and vaccines. I’m just wondering if there are any opportunities I’m missing to take advantage of this insurance offering outside of skimming a bit off of a 1k dental procedure for him, which

What's this?

Medical Help

Hi guys. This just popped up on one of our oscars foreheads today. We just moved and the relocation of all the tanks has definitely caused some water quality issues. We just did a 50% water change, raised the temperature, and heavily salted the tank. However, I'm just wondering if anyone knows more information on this. What's it called? Is it fungal or bacterial? I'm noticing two different textures too: the larger blurry blotchy white "mold" on the forehead and the small egg-like clusters on the face.

We have a 25-foot sailboat parked in a marina in Seattle and I know nothing about sailing. The boat is in good shape and ready to sail. How can I find someone that will come sail this particular boat with me and teach me the ropes?

My boyfriend and I have had two lessons with another instructor. However, rather than teaching the both of us, he teaches just my boyfriend. I'm not sure where we went wrong in our communication. I try my best to ask questions and get myself in there, but it changes nothing. I've fallen extremely behind and I feel really left out, to be honest. I need a one-on-one instructor of my own.

The other instructor was $60 an hour. Everything I've managed to find online

Today was overcast, but still warm enough that I got sweaty if I walked too quickly.

I had my group virtual job interview today. I think I did great, but only because everyone else there was... kind of degenerate. I don't think I could have come up with worse answers to the interviewer's questions than what I witnessed today. Many of them were just sabotaging themselves. When I told my dad (who has decades of experience in hiring) about it, he was laughing so hard, as though my whole recap were a comedy skit. There really only one guy in the group that I considered to be anywhere near competition, but I think my experience is still more tailored to the job description. There is another grou

Today was pretty hot and very sunny. It didn't bother me as much as the other days though. Maybe the breeze helped.

I felt very beautiful today. I was wearing a long skirt that my boyfriend got me for our anniversary. It added a lot of movement to my strides. I got two compliments on my fish purse too. That purse gets a lot of attention. It is like walking around with a puppy.

I'm happy to report that I've solved most of the things that were stressing me out yesterday. I emailed my advisor and found out that I will most likely get to attend the graduation ceremony despite my application to do so being late. I also applied for unemployment and got an additional interview scheduled for a job

Today was too hot and too sunny. I was not made for this weather. However, I have decided I'm going to start drying my clothes outside rather than in the dryer to save electricity and help my clothes last longer.

Two of my picture frames fell off the wall today. I'm not sure why. I've decided to just take all of them down and get rid of them, since they'll be too much of a hassle to reframe when we move out, given I don't really like them that much.

My two parent cichlids are doing wonderful and the brine shrimp for their babies have hatched today, so they will be eating well. The parents were both playing with each other today and swishing around their babies in doing so.

It reached 75 degrees today and was really sunny.

Today, we woke up late, had coffee and omelets, and listened to the chaos right outside our house. There was a local event going on, police cars blocking off the road, and probably 150 bikes on our street, either leaning on curbs or locked to whatever public sign poles and railings there were. It felt really nice. We got dressed, I rebraided my boyfriend's hair, and we headed out to get some outside time, too. But when we got out there, we realized the bridge was raised. We weren't going to be able to cross it until the event was done using the water. So we were stuck in the little part of our neighborhood, sort of an island surrounded by a
