# YOUR HOME DOESN'T WIPE. THE WORLD BEYOND IT DOES.

One of the things we wanted to do differently with Severance was get away from having to choose between a permanent server and a seasonal one.
It's nice having somewhere you can actually settle down and build something without wondering when the next wipe is coming.
But it's also fun getting dropped into somewhere new where you don't know what's waiting for you.
**So we decided to have both.**

## 🏡 GREEN COUNTY | YOUR HOME WORLD

Green County is the permanent side of Severance.
Build a base, start a faction, open a business, run a clinic, trade with other survivors, farm, hunt, or just find a quiet corner of the map to call home.
There are **no planned seasonal wipes** here. The idea is that the things players build and the stories that happen here actually get a chance to stick around.
Then, when you're ready to leave home for a while, there's the Frontier.

## ⚠️ THE FRONTIER | RISK IT. BRING SOMETHING HOME.

The Frontier is connected directly to Green County. **Same character, same gear, same story.**
Pack what you need, travel over, and if you survive the trip you can bring whatever you find back home with you.
Unlike Green County, the Frontier is seasonal. That gives us somewhere we can change maps, introduce new threats and generally make life miserable without deleting everything you've spent months building back home.
Right now the Frontier is on **Deer Isle**, where the **FCA and USRF are fighting for control.**

Our AI Director runs that conflict in the background. Patrols move around, territory can change hands, checkpoints and operations appear, and reinforcements can show up when a fight starts getting out of hand.
Not everything is waiting around for a player to trigger it either. You can wander into a fight that was already happening before you got there.
Of course, you can also be the idiot who started it.
**We've all been that idiot.**

## 🔥 SO WHAT'S ACTUALLY ON THE SERVER?

### 🗺️ THE WORLD
Green County + Deer Isle • One character between both • Permanent Home World • Seasonal Frontier

### ⚔️ THE DANGEROUS STUFF
FCA vs USRF • Dynamic AI patrols and battles • Events and quests • Cryptids • Anomalies • Other things we're not going to explain here

### 🛠️ THE OTHER STUFF WE'VE BUILT
Custom Severance systems • Expanded medical and injury mechanics • Professions • Crafting • Cars • Motorcycles • Boats • Helicopters

### 🎭 THE RP SIDE
Player-run economy • Businesses • Settlements • Factions • Player-driven stories • No KOS outside designated conflict zones

## YOU DON'T NEED TO STUDY THE LORE BEFORE JOINING.

**Seriously.**
There's a lot of lore that's built up over Severance's lifetime, but nobody expects a new player to know all of it.
Come in as somebody who knows nothing about what's happening if you want. Learn about the world by actually playing in it.

Be a trader, doctor, gunsmith, mercenary, farmer, hunter, explorer, criminal, business owner or faction leader.
Or build a cabin in the woods and become that weird guy who comes into town once every two weeks looking for canned peaches.

There isn't a main quest you're expected to follow and we're not trying to force everyone into the same story.
**Do your own thing.**
Sometimes what players do ends up becoming part of the larger story anyway.

## WE'RE STILL GROWING.

We're looking for more survivors, friend groups and factions to come be part of what we're building.
And honestly, joining while we're growing means there's a lot more room to make something your own.

Start a business people actually remember. Build a settlement. Make enemies. Start something weird. Give everyone a reason to know your character's name.

Or don't.
The cabin and canned peaches option is still perfectly valid.

# BUILD YOUR HOME.
# SURVIVE THE FRONTIER.
# LEAVE YOUR MARK.
