# YOUR HOME DOESN'T WIPE. THE WORLD BEYOND IT DOES.

One of the things we wanted to do differently with Severance was get away from having to choose between a permanent server and a seasonal one.
It's nice having somewhere you can actually settle down and build something without wondering when the next wipe is coming.
But it's also fun getting dropped into somewhere new where you don't know what's waiting for you.
**So we decided to have both.**

## 🏡 GREEN COUNTY | YOUR HOME WORLD

Green County is the permanent side of Severance.

YOUR HOME DOESN'T WIPE. THE WORLD BEYOND IT DOES.

Most DayZ servers make you choose between a persistent world where you eventually run out of places to explore, or a seasonal server where everything you've built disappears with the next wipe.

Severance does both.

🏡 GREEN COUNTY | YOUR HOME WORLD

Build a base, start a faction, open a business, run a clinic, trade, farm, hunt, or disappear into the woods and avoid everyone.

Green County is persistent with no planned seasonal wipes. What you build here is meant to last.

But eventually, you're going to want something you can't find at home.

That's when you enter the Frontier.

With Severance, we wanted both.

🏡 Green County is your Home World.

This is the permanent side of Severance. Build a base, start a faction, run a business, trade with other survivors, or just find a place to call home. Green County isn't planned around seasonal wipes, so what you build and the stories you create can actually stick around.

⚠️ Then there's the Frontier.

The Frontier is our seasonal side of the server and where things get considerably more da

A living world where your choices matter.

Most DayZ servers ask you to choose between a permanent world or seasonal adventures.

Severance gives you both.

🏡 Green County is your permanent Home World. Build your base, grow your faction, open a business, establish trade routes, and create a legacy that isn't erased every few months.

⚠️ The Frontier is where the real adventure begins. Travel seamlessly to dangerous seasonal worlds where military occupations, hidden mysteries, valuable loot, and dynamic events await those willing to risk everything.

But the Frontier isn't scripted...

It's alive.
