Has anyone used Numelvi and Cyclavance (ciclosporin) together in a cat with EGC? Looking for experiences and reassurance.

General Advice

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for experiences from other cat owners whose cats have been treated with both Numelvi and Cyclavance (ciclosporin), particularly for eosinophilic granuloma complex (EGC) or other chronic skin conditions.

My cat recently had a biopsy confirming EGC. His skin lesions have been getting worse, and he's also started licking the base of his tail. He's had a course of antibiotics from our local vet

Our veterinary dermatologist has now recommended starting:

-Numelvi.

-Cyclavance (ciclosporin), 0.3 mL once daily.

The plan is to get his skin under control initially and hopefully reduce the medication over time.

I'm a little nervous about starting two medications together, particularly as I haven't found many accounts of cats taking this specific combination.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone whose cat has been prescribed both medications.

A few questions:

-Has your cat taken Numelvi and Cyclavance together? If so, what condition were they treating?

-Did you notice an improvement in skin lesions, itching or overgrooming? How long did it take to see results?

-Did your cat experience any side effects or problems while taking both medications?

-Were you eventually able to reduce or stop either medication once the skin condition was under control?

Thank you so much in advance. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated!
