Fellowship Government Draft
I've been running a few different ideas through my head as to how we should change up the Fellowship government if we decided to do so.
Here are my current ideas:
Diarchic Republic
This government system would be composed of the following parts:
-
Diarchs: There would be two heads of state within Fellowship, they would be of equal power. This position would not be elected and anyone stepping down from this position would chose their heir to replace them.
-
Greater Council of Fellowship: This council would be composed of three members of Fellowship chosen by the Heads of State. They would have full power over the nation of Fellowship and her territories after the Heads of State.
-
The Lesser Council of Fellowship: This council would be composed of three elected members (with terms of one month) and the developers of districts. They would be in-charge of creating public works projects and creating new ordinances (the majority of the Greater Council and Heads of State must agree on these ordinances).
-
Citizen: They would vote on their three Lesser Council members, to be considered a citizen they must have lived within Fellowship or one of her territories for three weeks at least (while under Fellowship rule).
Panarchy
This government system would work as follows:
There would be no single leader, rather everyone would give their input on how things should be done and would hold equal power among each other.
“an inclusive, universal system of governance in which all may participate meaningfully."
Minister System
Town Leader: Oversees the town and its territories as leader. The doge has the final say in all decisions/issues being debated within the town. Their authority within the town supersedes any decision made by the Council or District Developers, but does not supersede the Constitution itself as the final authority of the land.
Council of Fellowship: The Council runs the town on a day to day basis under the authority of the Town Leader and is made up of five positions. The minister of state, minister of war, and the minister of infrastructure. The responsibilities and duties of each are the following:
Minister of State: The Minister of State is 2nd in Command of Fellowship and first among the equals of the council, what this entails is when the leader of the town is absentee, they have the authority to make decisions for the town. They are also in charge of the city’s foreign affairs. This includes the creation and management of foreign embassies along with managing foreign embassies within Fellowship, making treaties/agreements with foreign groups, and responsible for Fellowship’s public image, in-game and on the subreddit.
Minister of Defense: Leader of the Fellowship Defense Corp. They are in-charge of the following areas: holding pearls, maintaining the town vault, keeping a suitable force geared and trained within Fellowship, and the defense of Fellowship and it’s territorial claims and allies. They must also realize that any military action they take reflects upon Fellowship.
Minister of Infrastructure: The Minister of Infrastructure is in-charge of the creation and maintenance of Fellowship’s public buildings and works within Fellowship along with its roads and factories.

Benevolent Dictatorship
This would be the system we currently use with the head of state holding supreme power.
