That bit at the end was fantastic

Haha, yeah. By far my favorite part.

Great choreography, although some of it feels ruined by the rapid camera cuts at times. Although a few of the slash moves with the swords don't warrant the epic dodge moves you used, it was quite a fun watch.

Thanks! Yeah, I am personally a fan of longer takes as well, but we're still feeling out how to keep them visually interesting without professional equipment for more complicated camera movements. There is also usually a give and take with how much choreography people can remember. As for the epic dodges, I like going a little over the top with choreography on occasion. We're at the "do it because we can" stage.

Yeah everyones got a choreography hurdle they hit when you're scripting out fights.. I do a decent amount of fighting for Pirate Festivals and Renaissance Festivals, and depending on the people I am working with depends on the type of fight sometimes you're forced to put together. Some people just have a mind that retains everything perfectly for long dramatic fights, and others need to practice in repetition over and over and over again. As for the big dramatic stuff I knew what you were doing with the having fun there, it was less about your cinematic choice and more about the type of swords you were using for the moves. Looking forward to seeing more stuff!

Oh and where are you guys based out of?

Thanks for the comments! Very true about fights, though I tend to just choreograph optimistically and then train as much as possible.

You didn't think the flimsy fencing saber warranted an epic dive roll? I can't understand why you would feel that way :)

As for more videos, you can check out our other videos on our channel (only the one sword fight at the moment, but more are in the works) and we're releasing a new one every other Wednesday at noon. We are based in Orange County.

Pity you're so far away, was going to offer to let you use some stage blades, but WA is a bit north. But I love talking shop. Do you guys use a strike system for choreography or just planned memorization? (Feel free to run at any time :p )

I found the dialogue particularly enjoyable
