No-Tail Polos

So with summer approaching, i'm looking to get back in the polo game, but i've found difficulty in finding items of my preference for the style. Most Polos have long, unnecessary tails in the back, which force you to tuck them in (even with jeans) or look ridiculous.

Calvin-Klein Jeans made a great alternative to this last summer which had little to no tail, and had very short sleeves. Unfortunately I don't think they're producing this series anymore, so i'm looking for something like it.

In addition to the lack of tail, I really like Polos with shorter sleeves (athletic style), since I have huge arms (suns out guns out).

Any advice offered would be appreciated.

Kent Wang polos have a good reputation and no tail. I don't know how short you want your sleeves, but here are the measurements.

GAP polos have a longer tail, but it is rather short compared to other companies (on the website looks to only be about an inch longer). Alternatively, you could always get a tailor to hem the back of a polo that has a longer tail.

I've been considering the tailor aspect since I have a closet full of polos which look fine, but i'm convinced its impossible to look good with a tucked in polo.

Time to pick up a new sport. The tucked-in polo has a home, and its name is golf.

Lacoste polos do not have a tail.

First of all there's the polo guide Other than that my personal experience tells me the classic polo from Ralph Lauren in slim fit is fine being worn untucked - but don't buy regular or custom fit as they have longer tails. J.Crew is also fine

Tommy Hilfiger has some bitching Polos with no tail. I own several of them; the materials and construction are fairly good.
