Recommend a book

This might be a good post to recommend any great math book and give reasons, but I am also personally looking for a new math book in my life. I'm not a serious mathematician, but I have studied calculus and have personally studied various aspects of number theory and other bits of math here and there. I'm intrigued most by number theory because it has curious applications, I love probability because poker (and it's just cool), and I'm a big fan of astronomy/astrophysics/etc. I'm least versed in statistics, so I'd love a solid recommendation for a Stat book that I could actually enjoy on my own (if that exists). I could type more weird shit that I'm into, but nah - throw me some book recommendations!

I'll start by recommending Stanly P. Hall's "Secret Teachings of All Ages." It's a massive book, and math is only a portion of it, but it provides a great history on maths' origins and the symbolic usage of numbers throughout history (especially in occult channels). It's a weird book, but it's the ultimate book for people who like to get into that stuff as a curiosity.

What do you recommend, r/math?
