Ruger 22/45 Slingshot Kits Back in Stock @ TandemKross.com
I received an e-mail yesterday informing me that the Slingshot Kits are back in stock.
For those that don't know, this is a replacement for the bolt stop/bolt release on the 22/45 pistols. Normally, when the bolt locks back you have to pull the bolt and manually actuate the bolt release lever to release the bolt.
With the mod, all you have to do is slingshot the bolt, much like racking the slide on other pistols, and the bolt release lever will drop on its own. It is spring loaded, so once tension on the lever from the bolt is removed, the spring will drive the lever down.
You could achieve similar results by removing the spring and detent from the factory bolt release lever, but this relies on gravity to pull the lever down and can be inconsistent depending on the orientation of the gun. The TandemKross lever is spring loaded, so it will work in any orientation.
