Anyone have a recommendation for an NFA compliant engraver in the Thurston County area? If not, Lakewood or Tacoma would work as well. I've seen recommendations for people in Auburn, Tukwila, Seattle, etc which is a bit longer than I'd like to travel.

##UPDATED 1 FEB 2016

#####Recent Updates

I changed formatting to squeeze more bills into the character limit and be consistent with the updates in the r/guns politics threads. Namely, I removed the list of sponsors as it was cumbersome to add/update, provided little value, and took up a majority of the allotted character space. You can still find the list of sponsors on each bill's info page. I also added a few bills since last update, and sorted the bills by House Bill number.

I'm a dumbass and bought 20 ga shells for my new 12 ga Mossberg 500 without reading the box closely enough. Can't return ammo, so looking to rehome it. Will consider cash offers or trades for 12 gauge, 9mm, .223, or .22LR in the Lacey/Olympia/Tumwater area.

I haven't heard anything on this in awhile. No updates in the thrice-weekly politics thread on r/guns, and not finding anything recent in the news. I keep finding articles from the end of May when it first went down and the occasional Reddit thread, but nothing recent with me information. Anyone have any insider updates or something? Maybe some of our gun shops that frequent this subreddit?

I visit OR a couple times a year and I'd like to obtain an OR permit, mostly to cover my bases. I've read ORS 166.291 and have a few questions.

  1. A local range offers both the NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course training sessions. Which one should I choose to satisfy the training requirement of ORS 166.291? I am not new to pistols, but I don't have any formal training to back it up.

  2. Where should I apply? If I read correctly I can apply to any Sheriff, but that the Sheriff does not have to issue the license. Which Sheriffs are out-of-state friendly? I am not a resident

Hey all, I am interested in getting in to NFA items and would like to set up a trust. I've seen the GunDocx trusts from NW Gun Law Group, but I'd like some more personal experience inputs. Has anyone used them before? What did you think? I'm concerned that they might be a bit too cookie-cutter.

Alternatively, I'm open to paying some more to get a tailored trust made up just for me. I think I'd prefer that, at the very least to establish a relationship with an attorney. Does anyone have any personal recommendations for a firearms/trust attorney in the Olympia-Tacoma area?

Thanks in advance!

Since it looks like 594 will pass and 591 will fail, it's probably a good idea to aggregate a list of known FFLs with reasonable fees and a friendly attitude. I'll try to edit this post to incorporate suggestions as time goes on for visibility.

Hey all, I have a bolt-less Mark II F (non-AccuTrigger, manufacturered 2/23/2003) I picked up for cheap that I'd like to turn into a functional plinker. To do that, I'll need a complete bolt assembly (part #12 in the schematic). Savage's webstore only seems to offer bolt assemblies for the AccuTrigger versions of the rifle. I've also searched through Numrich (I haven't tried calling them yet), [Brownell's](http://www.brownells.com/search/index.htm?k=sav

This Sig P226 deal expires Aug. 8th, 2014. The pistol also qualifies for the Sig Summer Promotion (expires Aug. 1st, must postmark by Aug. 23rd) for an additional two magazines and a pistol bag via rebate.

EDIT: No additional credit fees, + $12 shipping.

Update 7/21: Pistol arrived today. It is the W226-9-SP model. Based on this thread it does not have the SRT. The SA trigger does have quite a bit of slack in it as well. The pistol did come with E2 grips and night sights. It do

I received an e-mail yesterday informing me that the Slingshot Kits are back in stock.

For those that don't know, this is a replacement for the bolt stop/bolt release on the 22/45 pistols. Normally, when the bolt locks back you have to pull the bolt and manually actuate the bolt release lever to release the bolt.

With the mod, all you have to do is slingshot the bolt, much like racking the slide on other pistols, and the bolt release lever will drop on its own. It is spring loaded, so once tension on the lever from the bolt is removed, the spring will drive the lever down.

I'm the author of Lost Treasure Check (proof) and I'm currently working on version 2. As part of this I would like to move the text read out of which items you have and haven't found to some kind of frame with a better GUI-focused layout. I have some questions, though, and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I'm aware of the forums on curse, wowace, wowprogramming, etc, but I check them far less frequently than Reddit so it'd be nice if there was a resource here.

I currently have a Henry Frontier lever action rifle and a Heritage Rough Rider single action revolver, both in .22. I'm now looking for one more long gun to complement these two (there's room for one more in their case).

I know these aren't true reproductions, but I'm more interested in the style of the action than the caliber. I'd prefer something with a different action than I already have that is period-appropriate to the mid-late 1800s. I would also prefer something with light recoil. This will be purely a range gun.

Desired qualities:

  • Inexpensive
  • Low recoil
  • Uniq
