A way to increase player invasion rates?

EDIT: Platform is PC

I was hoping maybe someone had an answer to this.

With all activities and the story out of the way, Multiplayer is pretty much the only thing that keeps me playing the game. I appreciate getting hacked by other human players "randomly". But I noticed 2 blatant details:

  1. There seems to be a major cooldown (Maybe 20 or 30 minutes?) before another player invades you again.

  2. Sometimes when I invade players, they appear to already be ready for me on rooftops overlooking through the only camera that points at them on the roof.

Do people really sit it out that long for players to invade them? Is there any way to increase the odds players invade you? Does Blume bounty even increase these odds?

I find I only really get invaded immediately after I've just invaded someone else.

Every time I come out of a game I press focus mode to see If i'm being followed and maybe 1 out of ever 3 times I am.

That's an interesting take. Are you on PC?

I remember back then in the E3 demo they talked about "Payback" after someone invaded your game, so assuming they brought this in the code, it would make sense.

Yep, PC.

To be honest it might just be conformation bias because I always check after invading and it sticks in my mind more.

I have a cool down period of about 30 seconds between invaders. It's relentless. So that's probably what's happening with those guys who are just waiting around in prime rooftop spots. If the matchmaking system decides that you're a go to player, then you really can't do anything else, except turn it off. My game is 90% defending hacking invasions right now. If it lasts much longer then I'm just going to have to turn it off. I just think there's something broken with their matching system.

What platform are you on? Do you have any Blume bounty? Reputation status?

For me it's 90% invading players games.

I'm on PS4. I've hacked two Blume agents early in the game, and got invaded seconds after they placed the call. I don't really pay attention to the rep status, but I think I'm just Vigilante. I had a 100% success rate as an invader, but I wiped my slate clean when I turned off invasions . I thought I'd give it another chance, so I turned it back on, and for the past two days, I get invaded back-to-back constantly. I don't invade anyone anymore and I don't hack Blume agents. I'm just trying to play the story, but it's kind of impossible. The ranking also says I'm in the top 5%, which is impossible, because I lose almost every invasion. A lot of times I just ignore the invasion and keep on moving.

TIL: PC online community is extremely narrow.

It might just be. It's happened once or twice where the guy I invaded, invaded me back right afterwards. Something like that tells me there is not exactly a giant pile of players to pick from.

Hack "Blume Affiliates" They will call someone that puts a bounty on you.

Yeah I'm well aware of the Blume bounties. But do they make players more likely to invade your game though? From what I've read from people who tested that theory briefly, it didn't change much, if at all.

Once I get a bounty people hack me in around 1-5 minutes

Sometimes I won't be invaded for hours, then after I get a bounty I get one immidiately

I would like to know too. Yesterday, I walked around aimlessly just waiting for some one to invade for apporximately 2 hours and nothing. I even tried to increase the odds by getting few blume bounties on me but those expired.

Could it be an Internet connection speed issue? Maybe if your ping drops to a certain threshold, the server won't send you hackers?
