28yrs old and no degree. Some guidance? Info inside!
Here's the back story. I'm 28yrs old. I earned my GED when I was 16/17 years old. Though I thoroughly enjoy learning I was over school. I traveled and worked until I turned 18. I then went to Cosmetology school (full-time) (while working part-time) and graduated a few months early. I then went to work in a large salon where my clientele grew quickly. While at this salon a major color company approached me about becoming an educator for them - I did this for 2 years. My leadership skills became apparent to the owner and approximately a year - a year and a half later I became the manager (I was the youngest stylist managing 15 other stylists). I stayed at that location for 3 years. At the age of 23 I decided it was time to do my own thing. This move was not thought out or planned very far in advance but it worked out very well. I got a small business loan and opened my own salon in 2 weeks. I have grown my business over the past 5 years and it's still going very well. I am also a fitness instructor (for fun though i do get paid) at a health club.
Here's where I am feeling confused/unsure/any other feeling like this. I do not have an associates or bachelor's degree. I love my job and my clients. I do realize that my body may not be able to do this forever - it is very taxing on you not only physically but (at times) mentally. Though I have a flexible schedule (as flexible as I want it to be/make it) I do not get paid time off, 401K, sick days, etc. I do have health insurance but it comes at a steep price.
I have been contemplating taking my time and getting a degree for something to potentially fall back on as I am worried that I would potentially get over looked if I applied at a corporation or something similar. What benefits of having a degree would I truly get? Am I looking too far in to this - do I really need a degree or would my experience be enough to get me in the door? How would I start the process of (taking my time) earning a degree? I am uncertain of what type of degree I would like to/should go after if this is what I choose to do. I am thinking along the lines of something to do with business, finance, or management.
Any advice is welcome and appreciated!!

Come on guys! I need some guidance/help as to if my experience is sufficient or if a degree will really be that beneficial.
