Silverchair... Nickelback of the 90's

Discussion

My stupid wife made me listen to Silverchair just now. It turns out that the lead singer of Silverchair wishes he was Kurt Cobain so much, I'm personally offended. She was so adamant that Silverchair didn't suck, it reminded me of any fan of Nickelback I've ever met, all three of them. To make a not that long story about as long as it should be: Silverchair wishes they could be Nirvana (for obvious reasons) and Nickelback is essentially the Millennial version of Silverchair.

No, the Nickelback of the 90s was Creed.

Your wife is a smarter person than you, listen to her you could learn something.

Holy fucking shit. Usually avoid this sub-reddit cause I've heard the people that post and use it are pretty dumb but just holy shit. Listen to Young Modern just do it, it's one of the most well put rock albums out there, I don't get where you are getting this whole Kurt Cobain Nirvana wannabe thing from but it's a bit silly, if every band that is influenced by Nirvana isn't allowed to express it in there music cause it just makes them wannabes then RIP Pearl Jam and plenty of other great rock bands. Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Do you even realize these guys were in their early teens when they released their debut album? I was in a garage band in the early 90's and all we could play was terrible Nirvana covers.

You're too young to actually remember the 90's, aren't you?
