[TOMT] [Music] A genre of Russian or Eastern European Chanting with Many Deep Voiced Male Singers

I wasn't 100% sure I was posting to the right subreddit since this is rather more vague than is the norm here. I'm looking for the name or if possible songs of this genre. I'm sure I have been told about it before but have since forgotten. The music is generally very dramatic and sometimes associated with ideas of nationalism and the old Soviet Russia in the media.

Thanks for your Help

Edit: Clarity

Edit: Chanting was probably the wrong word and I don't think the music is generally associated with the orthodox church. It has a sort of domineering quality if that makes sense.

I'm not sure what the genre would be called, but it sounds like the sort of thing performed by the Russian Patriarchate Choir. Hope this helps.

Basso profundo? Famously Russian, very deep voices, kind of chant-like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WpD2Cspn6g
