Beat me to the punch ! I don't know how to feel about this.
For one, I feel bad because a former 2nd round who never was healthy enough to stay on the field for more than a handful of games, I like waiting and giving them a chance.
On the other, I think he was borderline getting cut because Pennel has made noise in training camp and they weren't going to cut Khyri Thornton.
I think they've done well to get something out of it, I couldn't see him making the roster, maybe he'll have a chance at the Patriots if he can stay healthy.
It's not even a matter of staying healthy, it's a matter of GETTING healthy right now... The guy threz out his back cleaning the gutters or something during the offseason and hasn't been back.
Might be a conditional 6/5th round pick?
Hoping for 5th but guessing its going to be a 7th, smart move here he wasn't going to make the team so good to get SOMETHING for him.
Also this isn't official till he passes his physical which might be a problem.
I think the Patriots would be mad to give up anything above a 7th, but as you say, Worthy passing the physical is a big if.
Seems fishy no?
Un motivated, no motor, this was the guy mike Daniels was talking about when said he would punch a teammate that didn't play hard . good riddance. Pats won't put up with it either.
I have not heard this or did not know this.
