Introductory Texts for Invasion Biology
I'm an undergraduate student in mathematics and biology. I'm interested in a postgraduate program in biomathematics at a University in my country. The program may include a project in invasion biology which I know nothing about. I'd really appreciate any advice, perspectives and/or literature suggestions from people in the field. Especially those with a mathematical or statistical focus.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It sounds to me like you would benefit by diving into some ecology literature. I don't know any particular resources off the top of my head but there have been a lot of mathematical models developed to simulate the progression of invasive species entering an environment. I can suggest on browsing this guy's research interests, it should eventually lead you to a good textbook somewhere

*Actually I think a good book to start with would be "Population Genetics, A Concise Guide" by John Gillespie. In particular chapter 3 has a discussion about relative fitness which should help with the idea of invasion.
Great, Thanks for the suggestion!
