What place in Portland has the biggest selection of magazines, besides Rich's Cigar Store?

Even better if it's in SE. Rich's is great but it's always hard for me to get there.

Periodicals Paradise RIP

They are still open. They just moved a couple of blocks. Smaller space, smaller selection, still solid though.

Sweet, I had no idea! (though to be fair, they moved more than "a couple of blocks").

Their most previous location was NE 42nd. They moved to NE 40th. Guess I was just referring to the most recent relocation.

Well crap, they've clearly had a long a varied life that I knew nothing about. I was thinking of when they were on Hawthorne.

i used to love that place when it was in that old green building on powell in the mid 30's.

Is there still a Barnes & Noble at the Lloyd Center? The one in Bridgeport Village has an extensive magazine section. (I'm sometimes there early for movie preview screenings and kill time in the magazines like ol' Dutch Reagan....)

This is a good suggestion. Thanks! Also, I know you in real life.

Did you consider Powell's? they've got that whole front room.

Their selection has been increasingly smaller over the last few years.

Shrunk quite a bit after the remodel. And their layout is disjointed in the mezzanine now.

The Powells on Hawthorne has a pretty eclectic selection. Depends on what you are looking for.

Is there a specific magazine that you're looking for, or are you one of those people who hang out in the magazine section for three hours, then don't buy a thing, as if it's your personal library?
