This would be in late March so I don't imagine snow would be an issue? Someone told me it's actually faster to go through Salt Lake City, using only the major Interstates 84 and 15, than to take the 95 or 395 etc.? Anyone know if this is true?

Apparently it's a law that you must serve food in order to serve liquor so you gotta have something. This is the menu for the Watertrough Saloon but I bet there are even more perfunctory ones. http://imgur.com/r9rvHEP
EDITED TO ADD: And the Watertrough Saloon is an "American Airlines Dining Destination"! Ha http://imgur.com/atVBeKm
Literally EVERY time I have passed that intersection since the line opened, there is someone (who I assume is an employee) standing at that weird crosswalk, wearing an orange safety vest. Even at 6:00 am or at midnight. Is this part of some test or are they paying employees to stand there and watch out for people walking or biking across that crazy train crossing?
Is it really THAT good and worth braving that perpetual huge mob for?
On Hawthorne between SE 11th and 47th, pretty much every car that is not a subcompact or compact comes within six inches of maxing out the lane and, with mirrors, almost every car protrudes into the next lane. Nearly EVERY truck of any kind has mirrors that stick WAY into both adjoining lanes.
This causes many drivers to veer into the next lane or even over the double yellow lines, constantly, in the two-lane stretches of the street. But traffic functions somehow.
Is this street intentionally designed this way for some reason? Or is it that vehicles are simply too wide?
Not dark rye or any similar type but actual pumpernickel. I've tried all the regular grocery stores including New Seasons and nobody stocks it. Thank you!
I want a regular landline like people had in the old days and I don't want Comcast or CenturyLink and I don't want it to be part of some cable TV or internet package.
Is that even possible in Portland these days? And if so, where can I find the best rate? Thank you.
Seems like it would be scratchy and weird. Yes, this is a Portland question. In some ways it's the ultimate Portland question.
Even better if it's in SE. Rich's is great but it's always hard for me to get there.
It appears to me that PDX is swarming with 20-somethings dressed, styled, and coiffed as per the current trend. I don't need to describe it for you. What did "hip" 20-somethings look like in Portland in, say, 2005 and in 1995 and in 1985? And were there SO many of them?
