The Evolution Of Trolls

In the Dresdenverse, Trolls are creatures of Faerie intimately involved in the whole Bridge Thing for example Golgoth in "Restoration Of Faith"

Now when Karrin killed Golgoth all those little Trolls escaped from his body. Where did they go?

The Internet?

It would explain so much.

My interpretation was that Golgoth wasn't actually completely killed, when Dresden ripped him open with the cleaver his current body was destroyed but it spilt up into tiny trolls that will eventually reassemble back to its former size given enough time.

This is similar to what Tessa does when her mantis form is destroyed, she can't fight anymore but she can leave and reassemble herself at a safer location.

Would be kind of fun if Harry is responsible for the rise of the Internet Troll, very much like slaying the Red Court creating a vacuum for the Fomor.

especially since Harry can't use computers. JB totally needs to work that in. there will never be enough things for Harry to flagellate himself about. Or things Harry's circle can tease/blame him for.

chronologically, Restoration of Faith would be... late '90's? i think we can all be grateful if Harry, even inadvertantly, turned out to be the real cause of AOL's decline.

Why do I not remember anything about Karrin killing a thing and it exploding into tiny trolls? Was it in one of the short stories I didn't read or am I forgetting things?

Short story called "restoration of faith" in the side jobs anthology

Ah ok. I've read the first couple chapters of side jobs, I need to finish it.

The first short story, and the one that predates the books.
Jim doesn't like how he wrote it, but it is still included in "Side Jobs" just to show how he wrote originally.

Another reason why I should at least read one book instead of just listening to them on my commute, I'm wondering who the heck Karrin is. I was thinking it was Karen Murphy
